The natural fibers of the cotton used for this dish towel are inherently somewhat stiff.
Keep it as is if you will be hanging it or framing it.
Otherwise, soak your dish towel in a gallon of lukewarm water mixed with 3 tablespoons of coarse salt. Let soak overnight, then machine wash at a low temperature. Your dish towel will be soft and ready to use.
